  • b. If you are using a domain name that you already own, the domain name will need to be pointed to the servers where your website will be hosted. Do you wish to;
  • *I will send a separate email detailing what I need from you.
  • If you wish to use a domain name that you already own, what is the domain name?
  • If you wish for me to register a new domain name on your behalf, please list your preferred domain names in the order of your preference*. Your domain name will be registered in the name of the entity shown under Personal Info, unless you indicate otherwise, in writing.

  • Section 2 | Logo and Colours

  • a. Does your business currently have a logo, registered trademark, or some other identifying graphic image that you wish to display on your website? (Required)
  • Drop files here or
    Max. file size: 256 MB, Max. files: 2.
      *I prefer to have your artwork provided in a Vector based format. Vector artwork formats include files created using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Macromedia Freehand, Corel DRAW, Paint Shop Pro, AutoCAD and similar programs. If I have a copy of your logo in a Vector based format, I am able to utilise elements of the logo in any artwork layouts, scaled to any size, without loss of quality, and I can make sure that what you see onscreen is the colour that the image was originally designed to be. Vector formats are typically provided to you as a PDF, or one of the following formats: .ai / .eps / .pdf / .emf / .psd / .psb

      ^Raster based artwork formats can be created by almost every program that can generate and manipulate images. Raster based formats are used effectively on many websites, but results will not be as reliable as those obtained using Vector based formats. Raster based formats end with one of the following file extensions: .bmp / .wbmp / .gif / .jpg / .jpeg / .png / .psd / .psb / .tif / .tiff

      ~If your artwork is not provided to me in a Vector based format you will experience shifts in colour and quality of display on any device, and run the risk of reproductions with poor colour matching and your artwork looking blurred or pixelated. I cannot accept responsibility for the results obtained utilising any non-Vector based files.
    • b. Do you have a preference for any particular colour scheme? (Required)
    • c. If you have a preference for a particular colour scheme, please check a maximum of 5 of the 215 Websafe colours below that you prefer to use. How these colours will be used will be discussed in more detail during our design meeting.*

      *Whilst I take great care to match all colours to your satisfaction, there is no guarantee that I will be able to exactly match the colours you would like on your website, unless you provide the exact HTML colour codes. You should also be aware that colours will appear differently on different types of digital equipment depending upon its brand, operating system, specification, age, screen settings, browser settings, external lighting conditions and a range of other factors beyond our control.

    • Section 3 | About the “VIBE” of your Website

    • a. Your website will convey a strong message about your business before visitors even begin to read the content. In order to understand the type of message that you want your business to convey, I need to know about the type of look and feel that you want your website to have. Please tick all of the words that apply to the look and feel (or the vibe) that you want your website to convey to visitors.
    • b. If you are able to, please elaborate about the look and feel that you would like to achieve with your website. The amount of information that you provide will determine just how close I get to what you want – more information is better. You will also have the opportunity to discuss this further with me during our design meeting.
    • c. If you have visited the websites of your competitors, please tell me about those websites. What did you like about their websites? What did you dislike about their websites? Why did you like or dislike those things? Again, the more information that you provide, the better the final result will be. Please provide the website address, then tell me about it;

    • Section 4 | Website Audience

      (Required)
    • In order to obtain the best results, I need to know as much as possible about the type of person who is most likely to visit your website. How old are your typical visitors likely to be? Will there be more male or more female visitors? What are the interests of your visitors (i.e. why are they visiting your website)? How educated are visitors to your website likely to be about the products or services that you offer? Will all of your website visitors be able to read English well, or will some translation tools be required? Are visitors more likely to be repeat customers who have already dealt with you before, or will they be potential new customers? The more information you provide, the better the results will be.

    • Section 5 | Call to Action

      (Required)
    • I need to have a good understanding of what you want your website to achieve. Is the primary purpose of the website to provide a place for established customers to view products and services? Is the primary purpose of the website to attract new customers? What do you want customers to do when they visit your website – telephone your 1800 number – send you an email – place an order – visit your premises? The more information you provide, the better the results will be.

    • Section 6 | Images

    • a. I generally obtain images from royalty free libraries. The cost of obtaining a limited number of these images is built into the website development costs, so you will not need to pay for these types of images directly. If you have any preferences, please tell me about the types of images you would prefer to see on your website (e.g. friendly people, sad people, happy children, commercial buildings, houses, sandy beaches, etc). Please write descriptive words below;

      *I cannot guarantee the availability of any image or any particular type of image.
    • b. You will need to provide any additional images that you would like used on your website (e.g. photos of staff, promotional photos, product photos, photos of your business premises, etc). If you do not own the copyright for any images that you would like to use, you will be solely responsible for arranging permission to use those images on your website. Do you have any images that you would like use on your website?

      NB: You will need to send images in a high-resolution format.

      • Section 7 | Navigation

      • I recommend a maximum of 10 menu items, some of which could be placed in a submenu. I also recommend using simple, commonly understood navigation words such as About for the team or company page, and Contact for the contact page. Please nominate the page names or menu items that you wish to include on the main navigation. If you need more pages, or have some unique navigation needs, we can discuss it during our design meeting.

        Please click the + symbol to the right to add more menu items.
      • Most commercial websites include some navigation in the footer. By default I would create a footer menu and include links to your Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Sitemap and Login pages. Upon request, I can provide you with draft wording for Privacy Policies and Terms of Use. If you would like something that varies from this, we can discuss it during our design meeting.

          You are responsible for providing the content (i.e. the words) that you wish to use on your web pages. This must be provided in an electronic text format, such as a Microsoft Word document or a .txt file. • Describe the marketing strategy of your business. Who are your best customers – not company names – but by type of business or consumer profile (if you have one). Why are they your best customers? If there is insufficient space, please feel free to attach as many pages of information as required to properly describe your marketing strategy. Attaching copies of any of your current marketing literature will be helpful.
